UpcomingAAAA will host a series of upcoming talks and courses: a July 18 public lecture by attorney Lantao Sun on preventing slip-and-fall injuries and the litigation process; a July 30 CLE course on representing IRC §1031 exchange clients; and an August 18 “East Coast vs. West Coast” seminar on protecting and passing on family wealth, presented by attorneys Yanfei Ran and Elizabeth Yang. Given the borough’s overwhelming Democratic majority, he is well positioned to prevail in the November general election and take the bench as a Queens Civil Court Judge.

Pro BonoAAAA’s “I AM HELPING” free legal clinics run every month in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, offering the community free legal consultations. Two clinics have been held this year; at the June 21 Brooklyn clinic, four Pro Bono Committee attorneys served residents from 2 PM until past 5 PM. To make an appointment, call 212-836-6055.

MilestoneOn May 20, 2023, the Asian American Attorneys Association (AAAA), founded by more than a dozen attorneys, held its inaugural ceremony in Great Neck, New York, drawing nearly 200 attorneys, entrepreneurs, physicians, accountants, and other professionals. Founding Chair Yanfei Ran delivered the keynote, setting out the Association’s vision — “Asian Leadership, Global Vision” — to unite Asian American attorneys and defend the community’s rights.
