On September 5, 2026, the Family Law Committee of the Asian American Attorneys Association (AAAA) presents the second session of its Women’s Growth Salon Series in Flushing. What sustains a long and happy intimate relationship — love, communication, emotional support, or the connection of body and mind? Three guests from different fields — women’s growth and leadership expert Dr. Fang Miao, psychologist Dr. Junhong (June) Cao, and international and business attorney Christopher A. On August 18, 2026, AAAA and the California Asian American Attorneys Association (CAAAA) co-host an online seminar on protecting and passing on family wealth — presented by attorneys Elizabeth Yang and Yanfei Ran, moderated by Qiang Bjornbak. Topics: intestate succession, estate tax, gifts, non-resident property, inheritance in divorce/remarriage, and cross-state & overseas assets. 8:00–9:30 PM ET via Zoom.

On August 8, 2026, AAAA’s “Legal Insights” public-education talk was held at the CCHC Gospel Plaza in Flushing — hosted by AAAA and co-hosted by the Chinese Christian Herald Crusades (CCHC). Lantao Sun, a senior partner at Sacco & Fillas, LLP, spoke on “Community Safety Above All — Preventing Slip-and-Fall Injuries & an Introduction to the Litigation Process,” covering everything from car accidents to slip-and-falls, and from preserving evidence to the litigation process. The room was packed, with a simultaneous live stream.

On August 6, 2026, the Asian American Attorneys Association (AAAA) hosts an online forum on cross-border international legal practice — co-hosted by XZ Law Firm, Leech Tishman, and Yingke Law Firm — gathering attorneys from China, the US, Canada, and Brazil across four tracks (US · Canada · Latin America · China): cross-border investment, brand franchising, entering the US market, IP litigation, restaurant expansion, and more. Online via Zoom, 7:30–10:30 AM ET (7:30–10:30 PM Beijing).

On Sunday, August 2, 2026, AAAA and the CSY Club set out for a deep-sea fishing social aboard the ~80-foot Freeport Gem — attorneys, entrepreneurs, and friends sharing a relaxed day at sea off Freeport, Long Island. Booked at half capacity for roomy fishing, with the crew and seasoned anglers guiding first-timers and an on-board fish-cleaning service, it was a warm outing that grew friendships as much as it filled coolers.

On August 1, 2026, the Family Law Committee of the Asian American Attorneys Association (AAAA) held the first session of its Women’s Growth Salon Series in Flushing, Queens. Moderated by attorney Mingli Chen — with guests attorney Louisa Wu, management expert Fang Ma, and Dr. Yuhui Yang of North Shore Medical Aesthetics — the salon explored marriage, women’s growth, and self-care, drawing many attorneys, professionals, and community members to a warm and elegant gathering.

On August 1, 2026, AAAA’s Family Law Committee launches its Women’s Growth Salon Series — ten themed salons over the coming year, bringing together experts in law, psychology, medicine, wealth management, relationships, and personal growth to grow alongside the community’s women. Session 1, “A Happy Marriage Begins with Yourself,” opens on August 1. Guest speakers and partners are warmly welcomed.

On June 23, 2026, attorney Edmond Wong — long supported by AAAA — placed first with 50,113 votes among four candidates in the Democratic primary for Queens Civil Court Judge. Given the borough’s overwhelming Democratic majority, he is well positioned to prevail in the November general election and take the bench as a Queens Civil Court Judge.

AAAA’s “I AM HELPING” free legal clinics run every month in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, offering the community free legal consultations. Two clinics have been held this year; at the June 21 Brooklyn clinic, four Pro Bono Committee attorneys served residents from 2 PM until past 5 PM. To make an appointment, call 212-836-6055.

On June 20, 2026, AAAA’s Youth Committee and Events Committee co-hosted an attorneys’ golf networking afternoon at the Alley Pond Golf Center. Colleagues enjoyed a relaxed round and built connections — and the response was so enthusiastic that attendees asked to make it a monthly event.

On May 23, 2026, AAAA and more than a dozen New York community organizations hosted “Elite Night” at VShow in Flushing — a cross-industry networking event for young professionals that showcased the unity and mutual support of the community.

On April 27, 2026, representatives of AAAA and the Community Legal Aid Center of New York (CLAC) visited the University of New Haven to pay tribute to the late Dr. Henry C. Lee, the renowned Chinese-American forensic scientist.

AAAA's first Continuing Legal Education (CLE) lecture, co-hosted with KCT Abstract, on FinCEN's latest reporting rules — held at iLead Law Group's Park Avenue office.

AAAA and the New York Legal Assistance Group, with community partners, held pro bono legal seminars in Brooklyn (Houfu Senior Center and UCA) on special-needs trusts, Medicaid, and family-planning basics — helping the community move from hearsay to understanding.

On May 20, 2023, the Asian American Attorneys Association (AAAA), founded by more than a dozen attorneys, held its inaugural ceremony in Great Neck, New York, drawing nearly 200 attorneys, entrepreneurs, physicians, accountants, and other professionals. Founding Chair Yanfei Ran delivered the keynote, setting out the Association’s vision — “Asian Leadership, Global Vision” — to unite Asian American attorneys and defend the community’s rights.
